Ира-апа, от нашего стола вашему столу - очаровательный новый рассказик Рубиной. Никто, как ты, не оценит национальный колорит. Ну, и все остальные удовольствие получат, кто ее любит, если не читали.
В последнее время не могла ее читать совершенно, какой-то приступ культа собственной личности с ней случился, причем долгоиграющий, а тут просто как встарь пишет, искусство малых форм.

D as in D.V.D? ) I totally disagree with you then! One can like or dislike her, but Rubina is a truly gifted writer, unlike D (in my opinion).

hmmm. i think you came to read him a little late, when he was spoiled by the admiring throngs and became a bit of a nuisance eventually.

he really IS an inventor of a brilliant new super-compact genre. some of his early collections are just brilliant, i think. and he is a dialogue master, as opposed to our yackety yuck dinochka.
